Alan Makutela heads up the Glass Recycling Workshop. His team crushes and melts waste glass bottles of all colours, and then skillfully moulds and polishes approximately 70 beautiful glass beads from each recycled bottle.
These are passed to our head jewellery designer, Bronah Kanzeka, who, together with Olga Blom, manager of The Sijwa Project, masterfully create once-off jewellery items, like bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and keychains.
Each of these bracelets is unique and made with genuine love for the purpose of our Sijwa Project.
