Frequently Asked Questions

All 3 destinations are considered “year round” destinations as each time of the year has a different appeal. Victoria Falls can be very hot and humid in October. The main rainy season for all 3 regions is between November and February but even this period, which is known as the “Green Season” is a wonderful time to visit. In the Victoria Falls area, the ‘Low Water’ period runs between August and January and is at its lowest between November and early December. The best views of the falls at this time will be Devil’s Cataract which is permanent and on the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls.

The ‘Big Five’ is a term that was coined during the era of big game hunting in Africa. It was used to describe the most dangerous animals to encounter in the bush and includes elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The Kruger National park area is one of few National Parks in Africa where regular sighting sof the Big 5 are possible.

All locations on this tour are considered malaria areas and we advise the use of anti-malarial prophylactics year-round. Consult your travel doctor for advice at least three weeks before departure to Africa.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at all locations however, due to the remote location of your safari destinations, access will be limited to sending emails and the use of instant messaging services but not for media streaming. Many properties also make wifi access possible in public areas only.
